In 2022, Nathan ran for Congress as an independent in Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District. He earned the highest percentage of votes of any independent candidate running in states with straight ticket voting.After the election, he looked for new ways to make an impact. When a group of anti-LGBTQ parents convinced the principal of a suburban Fort Wayne high school to cancel the spring play, Nathan produced it independently. The production garnered national news, including a front page feature in the Washington Post.In his role as the Indiana state director for Business for America, he took the lead in creating the Indiana Business Alliance for Civics, a coalition of Hoosier businesses working to increase voter registration and improve voter participation.Other projects include Bring It Up, an initiative to get more people vaccinated against Covid in Northeast Indiana, and Peabody Patrons for Pride, a community event to to fight back against book banning attempts at a local library.He is the founder of Centerton Group, a consulting firm that provides small businesses and non-profit organizations with marketing and communications, content strategy, and media and event production services.
